Samsung’s PN58A650 Review from C. Hill:
Just got my Samsung PN58A650 Plasma on Monday after waiting for delivery very anxiously for about 4 days. There was a lot of buzz and high expectations set through various other PN58A650 reviews, reports and discussions I found on the internet that ultimately led me to purchase this big ticket television, and as I sat waiting for delivery I started to get nervous that this $3000+ plasma HDTV wouldn’t live up to all the hype that reading those reviews and previews gave me.
Once the Samsung PN58A650t arrived at my door, I really started to get anxious, I signed for it and got it into the living room and started the unboxing process biting my lip in both excitement and nervousness that it wouldn’t be as revolutionary a change over my old 720p 46” television I had just moved to my bedroom. I set up the home theater, game consoles, speakers and everything else before turning it on, then I set up all the various menus, made sure the PS3 was in 1080p mode, and fired it up to see just how good this thing would be. The game started up (GTA4) and I waited for the loading times impatiently… and then… I saw the game in its full high definition glory and I finally saw the difference the PN58A650 Plasma was going to make, in clarity, size, and color and picture perfect greatness. It looked huge compared to the old 46-inch television and the visual quality simply made the other HDTV look obsolete compared.
Since my initial experience above I have watched HD sporting events and fights, Blu-ray movies, other video games and normal non-hd cable / DVDs (unconverted to 1080p) This television is absolutely stunning through it all and continues each time to give me great satisfaction, which is rare for a cheapy like me to feel after a large $3300 purchase. A big thank you to Samsung for making incredibly beautiful, outperforming and cheaper priced superior products then the competition, I’m a Samsung fan for life now!
